Our first family trip of summer in 2016 is in Illinois. We stated in a suburb of Chicago which was Arlington Heights. We saw family from all over the state from my mom’s side. When we had a small family reunion some of the family went fishing. But we didn’t catch anything. It was nice to see everyone again.
In Arlington Heights we went to two different pools. They both had diving boards which we don’t have in Florida. One had a high dive which was scary when you looked off the edge but it was fun jumping off. But this pool had more people then the other pool. The pool closest to where we’re saying had two regular diving boards and a water slide which end 5ft above the water. The water was 12ft deep and I jumped of the diving the board and touched the ground.
We also visited a little of down town and we went to a new museum and it was the history of TV and I would say it would be go to check it out once but I wouldn’t go back until a long time. We also visited Maggie Daily Park which is a large park pin the city and I would recommend going one day.
We went to three different beaches all on Lake Michigan, which is my favorite lake. My favorite beach we went to was Gillson Beach, I liked the most because it had large swimming areas, a decent amount of people, and no rocks. The other breaches we went to were Glencoe beach and Illinois beach state park. The state had rough waves good for surfing or skim boarding but not for swimming.
I had fun seeing some family again and getting out of the house. As a family we are driving back to Florida from Illinois and collecting all the Pokemon. #TeamBlue

I have now finished my second week of school. It is a lot more different from 6th grade. Especially because this year we have 7 periods and last year we only had 5 periods and we still go to school the same time and end it at the same time. I go to the same school. It’s a K-8 school with a magnet program through middle school. I’m in 7th grade and I’m on the soccer team. I play goal keeper and midfield for a substitute.
My favorite teacher is my civics teacher and my favorite subject is math for now. My teacher for math gives me a lot of homework and it is getting harder so I don’t know if I will like math after this year as much as I liked last year. My math teacher likes to give homework and makes us take lots of notes in class. I’m looking forward to civics and space science. My same science teacher last year for 6th moved up to 7th grade. I’m am also planning to join back in chorus, maybe tryout for basketball and join track again.
Back to school – 7th grade.
I just got back from a trip to Michigan to go to football camp at Michigan State. The crazy thing was we just got back from Marco Island and went to a going away party for a friend. The next morning I had to wake up at 5:30 to get on a plane. On this trip it was only my dad and I. We got ready and we took off. We were going on Delta and they had free wifi and you could have watched movies and on their app. I watched Alexander and His Horrible Terrible No Good Very Bad Day and some of the Maze Runner.
When we arrived we got the rental car and we drove off to go eat at a coney island. It was my first actual coney dog. I liked it and I want to try another one again. After lunch we head over to my dad’s friends house which is a little less than 10 minutes away from the Spartan Stadium.
The first day of camp was long but really cool. There are different NFL teams where you are organized. I was in the Titans which I wasn’t excited about but it didn’t really matter. Each team had a coach and the coaches were players from the Michigan State football team. My coach was Brandon Clemons. He is a defensive tight and he weighs 305lbs.
The first day we stretched and the coaches introduced themselves. I also to took a picture with MSU Football Coach Mark Dantonio and the cotton bowl trophy. The first big activity was the offensive drills. Offensive drills includes QBs, WRs, and offensive line drills. After a break then there were Defensive drills its positions as LB, Defensive line and stuff like that. Then we had lunch and for lunch we had a wrap with cheese and ham, a cookie, chips. Then we went into the indoor practice field and did more drills. We also saw a video for MSU. Then we had dinner and we had chicken tenders. Then we played a razzle dazzle game. Razzle dazzle is like football but it is one hand touched and you can through the ball anywhere even if you are past the line of scrimmage. But the risk is it still can get intercepted and incomplete. We played 2 games and we tied one and lost one. The scores were 14-14 and 21-14. In total I scored 2 touchdowns and had 4 interceptions. Then we packed up and left.
The second day was shorter but even better. We did the same thing as day one but for lunch was pizza and after lunch we went in the Spartan Stadium. We did a razzle dazzle game in their and we tied 14-14 and I got 2 touchdowns one was a pick six. I also got to go in the press box and watch other kids play razzle dazzle. After everything I got my jersey signed by most of the players that were their. Later that day we went to a tigers game and they lost 5-3 against the Reds.
The next day we went to the Ford tour at motor city and it was cool but I wouldn’t want to go everyday. At 7pm the plane took off and we came back home. When I get older I want to go back and stay at a dorm. So I want to go next year.

First we saw an animal and it was a gopher tortoise and his name is Dot. His name was Dot because he was shot by a BB gun and it showed a dot on his shell. After that we saw a elephant and his name was Mack. We saw him get a bath and eat. When he was done we put food around his cage like marshmallows and honey and more. Then we watched him eat some marshmallows. After that we ate lunch. I ate spaghetti and I liked it.
Now after lunch we went to Exhibition Everest and Kali River Rapids. I loved Mt.Everest. But on Kali I barley got soaked. But after the ride it rained really hard. Then we went back to camp. Then we got changed and ate snack. Then we left. Not the best day but it was fun.
I went camping for the first days of summer at Disney’s Fort Wilderness campground. We were going to go on Thursday but we couldn’t because there was a tropical storm and it rained all day. So we went Friday instead. We went with my cousins and their friend. My cousins names are Colin and Conor, and their friends name is Brenden. Which is weird because it’s just like mine, but not.
My favorite part of camping is the golf cart. We got to drive around in a golf cart all over the campground. It was kinda of comfy sleeping in the tent at night. I slept well. There was also a forest behind the tents that we can play in. We had lots of fun there.
We also went canoeing. It took me forever to do it. I was in a canoe with my cousin Conor and his friend. We were not very good. But we didn’t fall out of the canoe.

The part I did not like that it rained on Saturday. It rained so much that we couldn’t even go outside for two hours. My cousin Conor went in the Hoopty Doo Review and got to wait out the storm there. We were inside the Wilderness Lodge hotel, which was fun.
We had to ride our bikes back from the Lodge to the campground – so it was a fast bike ride in he rain. When we went on the bike ride we saw 4 deer. They were so close to us as we were riding. It was fun to ride in the rain.
We found a cool bike trail that no one knows about with a great view!
It rained on Saturday so we went to went to my Nana and Papa’s house and stayed the night because everything in our tent was wet and the rain wasn’t stopping.
Good way to start the summer.
